Amy Jones, MPAS, PA-C

Amy Jones graduated magna cum laude from Midwestern State University before going on to become a licensed Paramedic in 2003 and earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2005.

Amy comes to the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center with extensive experience in emergency medicine and surgery, having worked in emergency and urgent care settings, as well as with a surgical group where she assisted in a variety of general and bariatric surgeries. For the past several months, Amy has worked closely with Dr. Barrows, acquiring in-depth knowledge of dermatology and a wide variety of treatments for skin conditions. Her past experience has provided her with a unique set of skills that now combine with her knowledge of dermatology to offer complete patient care. Dr. Barrows consults on Amy's cases as she continues to work hand in hand with him and has embraced the opportunity to learn from the best!

As a certified physician assistant, Amy is able to diagnose and treat skin conditions ranging from general dermatology concerns, such as acne or rosacea, to skin cancer. She is also qualified to prescribe medication and perform a variety of procedures at the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery Center.

Amy will see patients in the Rockwall office.
